Did you know that a whale shark eats a microscopic fish called plankton? They also eat a larger fish called tuna. Also another microscopic fish called Micronekton. They also eat Krill. Or sometimes smaller fish like fish eggs, squid, and even plants!!! All of those animals are some of the smallest fish ever!!! Plankton is a fish that lives in the ocean and is about five millimeters long!! Isn’t that very small food for a animal the size of a school bus!!! Plankton, tuna, Micronekton, Krill, fish eggs, squid, and plants!!! Thats a lot of small food!!! A whale shark can eat 46 pounds of food a day! Humans only eat about 5 pounds each day! And whale sharks eat microscopic animals and still eat 46 pounds a day. Now you know what food whale sharks eat and how much they eat!
